CLASS TEACHERS DEPARTMENT (1-4)

Class Teachers department deals with the first years of education, which is the foundation of education. Class teachers aim to teach the fundamentals of critical thinking steps while teaching Turkish, Math ,natural science and social studies lesson for further academical lifes. While guiding  students to think logically and critically in their mother tongue and trying to teach the mathematical operations (subtraction, addition, multiplication and division), teachers also aim to obtain social awareness.

While teaching first, second and third grades curriculum Class Teachers Department aims to make aware of the constructivist method. In Grade 4 Social Studies and Science &Technology lessons are introduced and teachers are trying to teach lessons while developing students’  natural curiosity,  interest and research behaviours. Starting from grade 5 branch teaching system is introduced. Upcoming problems are solved with positive preventive methods with the help of the Councelling and Guidance Department. Evaluation and  Measurement Department works together with the Guidance department in order to help students to solve “Exam Anxiety” as an individual or in groups.

Class Teachers Department works together especially with the Branch Department in order to plan  activities to reinforce lessons achievements.  For example  while teaching “Seasons” a song is taught in music lessons; a piece of Art is painted  in Art lesson related to seasons; a bodily-kineastetic drama is acted out in P.E. lessons and a song or roleplay activity is done in English lessons.

Lessons based on Critical Thinking steps are enriched with lots of activities and are accompanied with weekly Weekend Homeworks. Class Teachers Department aims to give students the ability to observe, analyse and solve problems like a mathematical problem; to examine events analytically and with rational sensitiveness and with the help of the education of values to lead a happy and successful life.
